Mason's quilt....

Mason has wanted a bed quilt for quite awhile now, and I decided that in April 2011 I would start cutting out fabrics for his quilt. He picked out the colors he wanted, and I found a pattern that my friend Jean wrote that I thought would be perfect for a boy quilt.  It took me til September 2012 to actually finish the quilt.

He loves it!!!!  Love the geuine smile I got out of him in the next 2 photos

Straight line quilting.. and learned a few lessons on this one.. I should have started in the middle and worked my way out...to help with my imperfect basting...

For the back of the quilt, I took all the left over pieces and blocks and  then had to buy a little bit more to actually finish it. I find that when I make a quilt with fabric, I don't really want to use the fabric in other quilts, so putting it on the back is a great alternative and way to use up every last scrap AND not have to break the bank and buy more fabric!!!  Madden is liking the quilt too
